Privacy Policy for KnightVision Pro

Last updated: October 2026

1. Overview

KnightVision Pro is a browser extension and userscript that provides real-time Stockfish chess move evaluations on Chess.com and Lichess.org.

2. Data Collection & Storage

• Local Preferences: Your extension settings (such as target ELO cap, turn filter, and optional Pro license key) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local or localStorage.
• Board Position Analysis: Standard chess FEN board strings are sent to https://stockfish.asnari.tech/api/analyze solely to compute engine move evaluations. No personal browsing history or account credentials are collected.
• License Verification: If you enter a Pro license key, the key is verified against https://stockfish.asnari.tech/api/verify and Gumroad's license API.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties for advertising, analytics, or creditworthiness purposes.
